Liverpool Line Up Surprise Swoop For Ex-Chelsea Winger

Liverpool are reportedly eyeing up a move for AC Milan winger, Christian Pulisic as a potential successor to Mohamed Salah.

The Egyptian forward’s contract is scheduled to expire at the end of this season. And sources have revealed that Anfield’s inner circles anticipate he will sign a deal with a Saudi Arabian club.

Given Salah’s outstanding Premier League record, Liverpool’s sporting director Richard Hughes has already started searching the market for possible replacements for the 32-year-old.

According to Calciomercato as reported by TEAMtalk, Liverpool have expressed interest in signing Pulisic for next season, but the price tag will be high.

In 2023, Milan paid Chelsea €20 million (£16.6m) to acquire Pulisic. Since joining the Italian giants at the San Siro, Pulisic has ‘relaunched himself,’ tallying 19 goals and 13 assists in 56 games. This included a goal in Milan’s 3-1 defeat to Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League last week.

Liverpool would have to “more than double” what Milan paid to acquire Pulisic in 2025, according to the report, which implies that his price tag is going to be more than €40 million (£33.3m).

Pulisic, who has a contract that runs until 2027 with an option for one more year, is said to be really content at San Siro. Milan therefore have complete control over negotiations.
