Liverpool have reportedly approached the representatives of Bayern Munich defender, Joshua Kimmich as they viewed him as a potential replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
According to Sky Sport Switzerland as reported by the Hard Tackle, the Reds are interested in Kimmich. With Trent Alexander-Arnold’s long-term future uncertain, Liverpool are searching the market for a right-back.
In light of a potential Bosman move this summer, they have reached out to the 29-year-old utility player’s entourage from Bayern Munich.
Joshua Kimmich joined Bayern Munich from VfB Stuttgart in July 2015 and has since established himself as one of the world’s top players.

Over the course of his nine and a half years with the Bundesliga powerhouses, the seasoned football player has proven to be a versatile asset, playing well as a holding midfielder and a right-back.
In more than 400 appearances for the Bavarians so far, the 29-year-old has continued to improve during his tenure at Bayern Munich, contributing 43 goals and 113 assists.
However, as Kimmich approaches the last six months of his contract with the Bundesliga giants, his long-term future at the Allianz Stadium is in doubt.
Because of his Bayern Munich deal, Kimmich is able to negotiate a pre-contract with foreign teams. Vincent Kompany’ side, meanwhile, are keen to sign Kimmich to a new contract.
Liverpool are one among the teams eager to recruit the Germany international during the summer transfer window, but there are plenty of other teams vying for his services.
