Two Liverpool midfielders are reportedly set to miss the Premier League game against Wolverhampton Wanderers billed to be played at Anfield on Sunday.
Curtis Jones received a one-game suspension for his role in starting the altercation after the 2-2 draw with Everton. Jones came off the bench for the last Merseyside derby at Goodison Park and made an impression. In the 73rd minute, Mo Salah prodded home after Jarrad Branthwaite cleared the 24-year-old’s goalbound attempt.
According to Liverpool World, Tyler Morton, meanwhile, talked about having surgery. The academy product has been out for some weeks due to a shoulder issue.
Posting on Instagram, Morton said: “Operation went well. Thank you to everyone for your messages.”

This season, Morton has been on the outside of Liverpool’s run for the Premier League title. He has only made five appearances overall and has not played in the top-flight.
The 22-year-old made an impression when on loan at Hull City and Blackburn Rovers the previous two seasons.
The Englishman retained his spot at Anfield to give cover despite being linked to moves to German teams Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig last summer.
As of now, it appears that Joe Gomez will be the only other player missing versus Wolves. The versatile defender’s hamstring injury returned during the unexpected 1-0 FA Cup defeat to Plymouth Argyle.
According to The Times, Gomez may require surgery as a result of his protracted layoff.
