Liverpool have been handed an injury boost with Arthur Melo reportedly set to return from injury ahead of schedule.
The Brazilian has only played 13 minutes of senior football for the Reds since joining on loan from Juventus – none of which have been in the Premier League.
He was brought in as a backup option but sustained a long-term muscle injury during training.
The injury was expected to keep him out for three to four months.
The 26-year-old, though, has recovered sooner than expected and will soon rejoin the Liverpool squad.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Arthur got a medical check and received a positive report.
He adds that more exams would be scheduled in the following days and weeks to monitor his faster-than-expected recovery.

Arthur had initially been undergoing recovery work in Brazil in order to speed up his comeback and join the squad in Dubai. With that very first goal accomplished, his personal team and Liverpool club doctors are’very optimistic’ that he will be able to return in perfect health by the end of January.

Naturally, Liverpool claim he won’t be pushed as they don’t want to take any risks, but the four-month absence previously intended is likely to be reduced short.
Arthur, who was upset by the timing of his injury, is relieved by the progress.
Arthur has also used his time to attend extra English courses every day to help him communicate on and off the field as he attempts to settle in Merseyside.
