Liverpool Receive ‘Green Light’ To Sign Salah Replacement

Liverpool have reportedly been offered the chance to sign Juventus forward, Federico Chiesa in the summer transfer window.

The Reds have gotten the green light from Juve to sign Chiesa as they are said to be looking for Mohamed Salah’s replacement.

The Egyptian’s future at Anfield is unclear. With only a year left on his Reds contract, he has been persistently linked to a high-profile move to Saudi Arabia.

Even though Liverpool have previously turned down numerous offers from Middle Eastern teams, club executives will still be worried about Salah’s short-term future. Thankfully, the Reds have a replacement option for the incredible forward in Merseyside.

According to The Mirror, the highly valued Chiesa appears to be available this summer for a fee of approximately £70 million. Sky Italia claims that Thiago Motta, the new boss, has no plans for the Italy international.

He might be moved to another club to raise money for the Bianconeri. Although Chiesa has been linked to Roma, he has not yet been ruled out of starting the preseason with Juventus.

The 26-year-old originally joined the Italian giants on loan from Fiorentina, a Serie A rival. And he has been a member of the team since 2020. Due to a serious knee injury, he missed a significant portion of the 2021–2022 season.

Still, in 131 games for the Old Lady, he has scored 32 goals. Chiesa’s contract expires in a year. And if Juventus decide to cash in this summer, it’s possible that he could be sold for €25 million (£21.2 million).
