Liverpool is keeping a close eye on the January transfer market and is planning to make another offer for Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi.

Under new manager Arne Slot, the Reds have had an incredible start to the season and are already five points ahead of everyone else in the Premier League standings.
Although the board of Liverpool is happy with how Slot’s reign is going, they believe that the team still has to be strengthened, with a particular emphasis on the midfield.
Although the team has other midfield targets on their radar, TEAMtalk is adamant that Zubimendi is the player they are most interested in.
This past summer, Liverpool agreed to match the Spanish international’s €60 million (£50.1 million, $66.7 million) release clause.
Nevertheless, he declined the offer to join Anfield.
Zubimendi is still Liverpool’s top target for the midfield and they haven’t given up after he turned them down in the summer.
Liverpool has a “very good chance,” according to sources, of acquiring Zubimendi in January, although Premier League rivals Arsenal may present a challenge.
He still has a €60 million release clause, which his pursuers view as a bargain and which Liverpool and Arsenal will almost probably match.
Zubimendi would be among the highest-paid players at Anfield if Liverpool were to make him a very attractive contract offer.
