Jeremie Frimpong, a right-back for Bayer Leverkusen, is reportedly interested in joining Real Madrid, which is why Los Blancos have opted against a move for him.

Liverpool is close to signing him to replace Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Since joining Bayer from Celtic in 2021, Frimpong, one of the top right-backs in Europe, has been playing well.
Before earning a major move to German team Bayer, the Netherlands international became a star for the Scottish club after failing to make it into the Manchester City first team.
The 24-year-old was a vital member of Bayer’s Bundesliga-winning squad the previous season and has made a reputation for himself as one of the first names on the teamsheet.
Frimpong has made 182 appearances for the German team thus far in his career, tallying 29 goals and 40 assists, reports Team Talk.
Frimpong, who is gifted with pace and the ability to tackle opponents, has been used primarily as a right wing-back for Bayer this season.
On February 19, Rudy Galetti revealed that Frimpong is admired by Liverpool and that they hope to sign him during the summer transfer window.
The Premier League leaders think Frimpong would be a suitable successor for Alexander-Arnold, whose contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the current campaign.
