Liverpool Star Advised To Stay Put At Anfield

Liverpool winger, Luis Diaz has been advised to remain at A field unless he sees a major pay rise elsewhere.

That’s according to Colombian legend Faustino Asprilla, who is pushing the Liverpool winger to stay at Anfield in a conversation with Gol Caracol today.

This week, Díaz has apparently been linked to leaving Liverpool once more. Barcelona are believed to be interested in him again after failing to sign Nico Williams.

That came after a shocking allegation from Spain that Manchester City had made advances to the Colombian winger, even agreeing to a personal deal with him and offering to pay up to €70 million for him.

Liverpool have flatly rejected the idea of him moving to another club. Arne Slot has publicly stated that Díaz is an integral part of his plans and would not be leaving.

According to Sport Witness, Asprilla reckons that, barring a significant financial opportunity elsewhere, remaining at Anfield would be the best decision.

“I think Luis Díaz is already settled in Liverpool, you already know him, he’s been there for two years, playing well,” he said.

“If the difference is not much; I would stay at Liverpool. But if the difference in money is great, which in the end is what counts, then one must always look for one’s well-being, both in terms of football and economics.”
