Liverpool Star May Leave Club With £30m Summer Transfer

The Premier League championship is still up for grabs and the season isn’t even done, but speculation regarding a possible Liverpool team reshuffle and the summer transfer market has already started following their loss in the Carabao Cup final.

With goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili ready to take over after Liverpool and Valencia reached a £30 million agreement last summer to buy the Georgian international, supporters know that at least one new player will be joining the Reds in the upcoming months.

The Republic of Ireland player has previously drawn interest, and this summer’s transfer window is the club’s last chance to earn a price that is near to his actual worth.

Last year, Nottingham Forest made a bid of £7 million plus Mat Turner, which was far less than that. Jurgen Klopp has also privately criticized other Premier League teams for undervaluing Kelleher.

However, Liverpool cannot afford to be overly inflexible in their refusal to compromise since it would be a horrible waste for the team and a worthless existence for Kelleher if his value declined while he was Anfield’s third-choice goalkeeper the next season.

To put it plainly, Kelleher would be better off telling his agents to set up a transfer this summer before he gets the send-off he deserves for his role as the Reds’ two-time League Cup champion, reports Daily star.
