Gary Lineker has urged Alexander-Arnold to leave Liverpool at the end of the season and join close friend Jude Bellingham at Real Madrid.
The 26-year-old’s current contract with the Premier League leaders is set to expire at the end of the season, meaning he could leave Anfield as a free agent next summer.
Liverpool has been eager to secure a new deal with the England international, but no agreement has been reached.
Additionally, Lineker, who himself transferred from Everton to Barcelona in the 1980s, has advised the full-back to complete the move because he believes the Englishman would succeed in Spain.
In the most recent episode of The Rest is Football podcast, Linker stated, “It seems to make a lot of sense to me.”
Real Madrid has recently operated on a free transfer basis.
He would fit right in there because he is very close to Jude Bellingham. He will achieve great success, reports Metro.
They wouldn’t dwell on his defense severely as we do here.
It would be a tremendous loss for Liverpool and is a perfect match.
