Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara has been seen back in team training ahead of their Champions League opener on Wednesday.
The Spaniard has not played for Liverpool since suffering a devastating thigh injury against Fulham on the season opener of the Premier League season.
There were concerns that Thiago could be sidelined for up to six weeks due to the injury, which could have kept him out until after the international break.
However, the 31-year-old has made significant progress in his recuperation in recent weeks, and Jurgen Klopp stated last week that he hoped Thiago to return to training before the match against Napoli.
On Tuesday morning, Liverpool opened up a section of their training session to the media, and Thiago was seen taking part in warm-up exercises alongside the rest of the team.

It is anticipated that the former Bayern Munich player would travel to Naples. Klopp will provide an additional update on the man’s health during his evening press conference.
There are no certainties Thiago will start in Naples, but his availability enhances Klopp’s options in the middle of the park.
Since joining Liverpool in 2020, Thiago has established himself as an important cog in the team’s machinery. He has contributed to three goals and five assists in 71 appearances for the Reds, despite sitting out an additional 50 due to injury.

Which Other Liverpool Player Was Absent?
Thiago is one of several Liverpool midfielders who have missed time this season due to injuries. Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are both still sidelined with muscular concerns.
After sustaining a hamstring injury against Newcastle United last week, captain Jordan Henderson was not seen during Tuesday’s training session. He is anticipated to miss the trip to Naples as well.
Furthermore, Fabio Carvalho was out from team training after suffering a dead leg in Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Everton, and Curtis Jones was also absent for unknown reasons.
Carvalho began with Harvey Elliott and Fabinho in the Liverpool midfield at Goodison Park, although Thiago, James Milner, and Arthur Melo are all in contention to replace him this week.
