Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Newcastle United are reportedly keen on signing Feyenoord defender, Lutsharel Geertruida in the summer transfer window.
The Feyenoord academy produced the 23-year-old right-back, who is a key member of the Dutch team’s starting lineup.
Geertruida was instrumental in Feyenoord’s victory in the Dutch Cup last season. He also helped Arne Slot’s team win the Eredivisie in 2022–2023.
Due to the fact that his contract expires in 2025, clubs are showing interest in him as they anticipate his departure.
According to Algemeen Dagblad as claimed by Football Insider, “it is now clear” that West Ham, Newcastle, Tottenham, and Liverpool are all interested in signing Geertruida.
The Feyenoord star is part of the Netherlands’ squad for the 2024 European Championship.
Furthermore, it’s implied that the club he will join won’t be known until after the competition.
De Kuip have made it clear in talks with Brian Priske—who is expected to succeed Slot—that they expect Geertruida to depart.
The four English clubs are already making plans to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2024/25 season as they hope to better their last season finish.
Liverpool will be aiming to compete and win the Premier League title after falling out of the race during the latter stages of the season.

Tottenham, on the other hand will have a top-4 place finish after they agonisingly came short despite being at the top of the league for some period of time.
There will be no European football for both West Ham and Newcastle next season, which will be to their own disadvantage if Geertruida is to choose which club he wants to sign for.
