Liverpool is “willing” to spend whatever it takes in their second attempt to get the French midfield player, while Real Madrid is prepared to selling Aurelien Tchouameni for the appropriate price.
While the midfield player was still on the roster at Monaco in the summer of 2022, Liverpool made an earlier effort to recruit Tchouameni. The player had his sights set on Real Madrid, but the Reds were actively after him.
“The first club to show interest in me was Liverpool,” Tchouameni told Le Parisien in the months after signing for Real Madrid. “There were conversations, but I had made up my mind when Real Madrid arrived.

“I didn’t hesitate for a second. I told my agent, take me to Real Madrid.”
However, a recent update from the Spanish publication Fichajes claims that Real Madrid has made it possible for Tchouameni to sign with Liverpool in the summer of 2025, three years later, reports Team Talk.
They claim that Tchouameni has been “put on the way out” by Real Madrid, and they “would not be against selling him if a suitable offer arrives.” Regarding the size of the needed proposal, the article mentioned a €80 million (£66.7 million / $89 million) cost.
Conversely, Liverpool was said to be “willing to bet heavily on the midfielder.”
