Liverpool’s Andy Robertson To Undergo Scan After Injury Scare On Scotland Duty

Andy Robertson’s injury update has been provided by Liverpool. Due to an ankle injury sustained on Tuesday night against Northern Ireland, Scotland captain Andy Robertson may miss the start of Liverpool’s Premier League title run-in.

Earlier this season, Robertson suffered a shoulder injury in a loss in Spain during the October international break that kept him out of action for over three months.

With the Euros just eleven weeks away and Liverpool entering a pivotal phase of the season under Jurgen Klopp, he looked defeated when he was substituted off against Northern Ireland.

The manager of Scotland, Clarke, was optimistic that Robertson had not sustained another serious injury. “He’s just come off the pitch, let the injury take its course,” he stated. “He’ll go back to his club and they’ll assess it and hopefully it’s not too serious.”

On Sunday, Liverpool will play their first Premier League matchup against Brighton. Later in the afternoon, title rivals Manchester City will take on Arsenal.

The Reds will then play Sheffield United at home in midweek before travelling to Old Trafford to face Manchester United, who knocked Klopp’s side out of the FA Cup earlier this month.
