Luis Enrique: Neymar’s 100-goal Barcelona record proves he’s a beast of a footballer

Neymar has been labelled as a “beast” by Luis Enrique after netting his 100th goal for Barcelona in the victory over Granada.

The Brazilian international has been in fine form since the turn of the year, most notably in Barca’s epic Champions League round of 16 comeback against Paris Saint-Germain last month as he scored twice and registered an assist in the 6-1 second leg at the Camp Nou.

Last night’s clash with the La Liga strugglers brought about another milestone for Neymar has he reached a century of goals for the Catalan giants with the fourth in a 4-1 win at Los Cármenes and Enrique has backed the 25-year-old to score another 900.

“He has numbers [which show he is] a beast of a footballer,” Luis Enrique said, as reported by Goal.

“He’s one of the most unbalancing players in the world [for opposition defences] and his signing by this club was a great decision.

“I hope he scores another 900 goals, so we can keep seeing him at Barcelona for many more years.”

Many ex-pros including Alessandro Costacurta has labelled Neymar as the best player in the world currently following his consistent performances in 2017 and he also broke the 500-game milestone for both club and country when featuring for Brazil over the recent international break.

A skilful player who possess fantastic dribbling skills, no player in the top flight of Spanish football has been successful with more take-ons (129) this season, while he’s also been fouled more times than anyone (105) in 24 appearances.
