Inter Milan striker Romelu Lukaku claims he is working with the best manager in the world in Antonio Conte at the San Siro. Belgium international Lukaku made the high-profile switch from Manchester United over the summer, having always claimed that he wanted to test himself in Serie A.
Now settled into life in the Italian top flight, the former Chelsea and Everton forward says he is enjoying playing under Conte and feels the Nerazzurri boss is one of the best in the business. “Between him and I there is a very strong relationship. I’m happy. At the age of 26, I want a coach like this, who helps me every day and gives me motivation,” said Lukaku. “He’s the best manager in the world.”
Meanwhile, the former Inter striker and now Los Angeles Galaxy star Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been full of praise for Lukaku and says he has no doubts the Belgian will continue to thrive in Italy.
Ibrahimovic, who played alongside Lukaku during their time at Manchester United, added: “Lukaku has this mad hunger to prove himself to the world and I’m sure he will do well at Inter, too.”
Lukaku will be looking to impress in Inter’s next outing as they prepare to host Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Inter, who are second in Serie A and just one point behind reigning champions Juventus, face Parma in their next league game on Saturday in a quick turnaround for the players on two fronts.
