Madrid chiefs fear struggling Hazard will become ‘new Bale or Robben’

Real Madrid management have concerns Eden Hazard could go the same way as Gareth Bale given his injury problems.

Hazard had an injury-plagued first season in Madrid after joining last summer from Chelsea. And he was missing for the LaLiga opener at Real Sociedad due to an ankle complaint.

Speaking on El Chiringuito, Okdiario’s chief pundit Eduardo Inda said, “There is fear in the club that Hazard could become the new (Arjen) Robben or Bale from a medical point of view.

“He has a plaque on his ankle and it causes him a lot of discomfort, that is why he will take time to recover.

“He also has a problem where he has a tendency to gain weight.”
