Sergio Gomez, Manchester City’s backup left-back, has officially left the team to join Real Sociedad.
The 23-year-old moved from Anderlecht to join the eight-time Premier League winners in 2022.

The midfielder said goodbye to the club’s supporters in a message sent through official channels.
Real Sociedad, who advanced to the round of 16 in the Champions League last season, has officially announced his departure from City.
“It’s time to leave Manchester City but I’d like to thank everyone at the CFA for their support and guidance during my time at the club,” Gomez told reporters.
Being a member of a team with so much skill, ambition, and achievement was an honor, and I will always remember and cherish the many significant trophies we won, including the triple crown.
“I am excited for this new adventure but I wish Pep Guardiola and the players every success in the future.”
