Manchester City are reportedly pondering on making a £68 million move for Crystal Palace winger, Eberechi Eze this summer.
Following a hefty deal from Saudi side Al-Ittihad in front of Kevin de Bruyne, Pep Guardiola’s reigning champions are considering their options. Spurs, who are searching for additional quality between the lines, have taken an interest in the impressive 26-year-old Eze.
Should City pursue their interest, though, the north Londoners would be helpless to stop the player from giving in to the allure of the Etihad.
According to The Mirror, Eze has long been admired by City one of the finest players in the Premier League outside of the top four. His deal at Palace is set to expire in three years, with a release clause of £60 million plus add-ons.
Despite having an injury-plague campaign last season, the England international was excellent for the Eagles. He helped Oliver Glasner’s team to a tenth-place Premier League finish with 11 goals and 4 assists.
The former QPR star cannot quit the South London club for anything less. Particularly in light of the loss of Michael Olise – another one of their budding stars – to Bayern Munich.
The fact that he can play multiple positions and has a low maintenance disposition have particularly impressed the defending champions.

Al-Ittihad and De Bruyne are anticipated to reach an agreement. The Pro League side, who already have Fabinho and Karim Benzema among its star players, have named Frenchman Laurent Blanc as their new manager.
De Bruyne has acknowledged that his career is coming to an end. A lucrative deal in Saudi Arabia would be difficult to turn down after 382 games, 102 goals, 170 assists, and 15 trophies for City.
