City were already behind in the area of attack after Julian Alvarez completed an unexpected move to Atletico Madrid.
Pep Guardiola, and his all-star studded squad made their most recent journey to Wembley and returned to the Etihad with a silverware.
City have profited £81.5 million from Alvarez sale. The Manchester Evening News stated that before Bobb’s injury, City were considering Alvarez’s replacements.
However, at that point, It was not seen as an area of importance for director Txiki Begiristain. This is because Guardiola had so many options available to him within the team.
