Manchester City equaled Liverpool’s Champions League knockout record after the Premier League champions’ 5-0 win against Sporting Lisbon in the first leg round of 16 tie.
City raced to a 4-0 first half lead thanks to goals from Riyad Mahrez, Phil Foden and a brace Bernardo Silva.
Then in the second half Raheem Sterling completes the rout by adding the fifth goal.
The result became the second biggest away win by an English clubs in the Champions League knock-out stages.
Liverpool first achieved the feat on 14th February 2018 when they also hammered Porto 0-5.
