Manchester City are reportedly weighing up a summer move for West Ham United midfielder, Lucas Paqueta and are ready to offer a huge amount to land him.
Lucas Paquet has become a target for Manchester City. So West Ham will have to fight to keep him at the London stadium.
According to the Irish Examiner, Paquetá is intrigued in joining the treble winners. And Pep Guardiola is trying to bolster the midfield.
Since Declan Rice left, the London-based club have resumed its pursuit of Southampton midfielder James Ward-Prowse. And are hesitant to part with another important player.
City could try to snap up Paquetá for £70 million. But it’s believed that no formal offer has yet been made.
There have been hints that Paquetá has become uncomfortable and is thinking about his future.
The Brazilian midfielder set a record when he moved to West Ham from Lyon for £51 million last summer. After a sluggish start, he quickly became a fan favorite at the London Stadium.
Paquetá had a five-goal season last campaign and enhanced his impact in the attacking third.
The 25-year-old is a gifted creative player who provided Jarrod Bowen with the assist for his game-winning goal against Fiorentina in the UEFA Europa Conference League final.

Although West Ham have experienced disappointment since selling Rice. They are about to confirm Mexico international, Edson Lvarez as their first summer signing. They plan to recruit another midfielder after reaching an agreement of £32 million with Ajax.
West Ham are making another effort for Ward-Prowse after having their £30 million offer for Manchester United’s Scott McTominay rejected.
