Clubs are releasing brand-new uniforms, streetwear, and training gear as well as novel artifacts and merchandise at the start of the new season.
Manchester City has introduced a smart scarf, making them the most recent innovator in this regard.
This scarf has a biometric sensor built into it that can track heart rate, body temperature, and emotional responses.
It was intended to track their fans’ emotional and physical reactions to the game.

The scarf was designed by the Octagon agency in collaboration with the team’s technology partner Cisco and uses a “EmotiBit” biosensor that is worn around the neck to collect the essential information, although discreetly.
The technology was in use when Man City played its last matches of the previous season.
Six City supporters were given the opportunity to participate in a pilot study to test the new technology. Throughout the 90 minutes of the game, they recorded more than 120 exciting moments.
Additionally, fans of sister club New York City in the United States will be able to purchase the scarf.
Man City Comments To The Smart Scarf
“For more than 100 years, the scarf has been the ultimate symbol of football fandom,” the club said in a statement.
“It’s seen the highs and the lows; and captures the blood, sweat and tears of fans, week in and week out.
“Now, together with our partner Cisco, we are excited to share an innovative upgrade to the scarf that allows us to measure those ups and downs and get a better understanding of the emotion at the heart of the world’s beautiful game.”
