Premier League winners Manchester City have bolstered their roster after reportedly paying £30 million to recruit Savinho from French team Troyes.
The midfielder is City’s first summer addition as they prepare to defend the Premier League championship they have won the previous four years.

After signing a contract with the Ligue 2 team in 2022, Savinho spent the 2023–2024 season on loan at Girona, where he was instrumental in the Spanish team’s first-ever UEFA Champions League qualification.
He told the club website, “I’m excited about the chance to work under Pep Guardiola.”
“One of the best coaches I’ve ever had, and someone I know will push me to reach new heights.
“I had a great experience in Spain and I’m excited for the new challenge of playing in the Premier League with some of the world’s top players.
I’m excited to meet the supporters and my new teammates, and I aim to help City win more games.
