Manchester City are reportedly interested in bringing in PSG defender, Achraf Hakimi and ‘will not hesitate’ to pay a huge fee for him.
After winning the treble last season, City manager, Pep Guardiola is now trying to rebuild his team in order to defend their titles in the upcoming season.
The future of Kyle Walker has been uncertain recently.
Walker’s interest from teams like Aston Villa, Bayern Munich, and Sheffield United has reportedly prompted City to be open to letting him go.
As a result, if Walker does depart the club, City will most likely bring in a new full-back.
Spanish news publication, Marca claims that City wants to sign Hakimi from PSG. And will not hesitate to spend a substantial transfer fee to do so.
Hakimi was a key contributor to Morocco’s incredible journey to the 2022 World Cup semifinals in Qatar.
Additionally, Hakimi purportedly wants to leave the Parc des Princes, according to Mundo Deportivo.
According to the report, Hakimi made the choice to look for a transfer outside of the French capital as a result of the surroundings and mood at PSG.
The Cityzens have already secured the signature of Mateo Kovacic from Chelsea. They have also been linked with RB Leipzig defender, Josko Gvardiol.
City are set to lose captain Ilkay Gundogan when his contract expires at the end of June. The 32-year-old is anticipated to join Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona.
