Man United ‘Agrees Terms’ For Third Summer Transfer After Finalizing Leny Yoro Deal

Manchester United is on the verge of making another major summer acquisition after apparently reaching an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain wonderkid Manuel Ugarte.

The 23-year-old is expected to leave the French League 1 winners less than a year after signing a contract with Sporting CP.

Erik ten Hag has been quite busy recently, bringing newcomers Josh Zirkzee from Bologna and Leny Yoro, the latter entering in a huge money move from Lille. Rumours claim that Ineos may expand their roster by signing Ugarte.

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, negotiations have begun with Ugarte, who is represented by Jorge Mendes, the same agent as Yoro. That might improve United’s prospects of securing a deal.

The report sheds light on the ongoing discussions between Man United and PSG representatives, stating that other clubs haven’t shied away from making enquiries.

In late June, French daily L’Equipe stated that PSG manager Luis Enrique was willing to let Ugarte depart due to interest from United. The English club’s original offer was reportedly rejected by the French heavyweights as being too low.

Although Romano did not reveal the identities of the interested clubs, L’Equipe reported that two Italian clubs, as well as teams from England and Germany, expressed interest.
