Man United Could Table Bid For South American Star In January

Manchester United could beat off competition for the signing of Fluminense midfielder, Andre Trindade in the January transfer window.

After 20 games this season, United are currently 9 points outside of the top four, having performed below expectations. They must make a significant improvement in order to qualify for the UEFA Champions League, which may persuade the management to make some transfers during the transfer window.

Given the current attacking players’ poor display, a striker appears to be the club’s top target. However, the Red Devils may also choose to spend money on a strong defensive midfielder to give Kobbie Mainoo and Casemiro some competition.

According to Trivela as reported by Football Talk, the Red Devils have an opportunity to sign Andre before any club does and are interested in doing so.

Although the publication claims that nothing is set in stone and that United may make a last-minute push to sign the highly-rated holding midfielder.

Fulham are believed to have a verbal agreement in place to sign him. The 22-year-old is reportedly attracting interest from West Ham as well.

This season, United have struggled to maintain control in the middle of the park. Before sustaining recurrent injuries at the start of the season, Casemiro gave off an odd vibe.

In order to cover, Sofyan Amrabat came on loan from Fiorentina. But the Morocco international has found it difficult to adjust to the intensity of the Premier League.

The Red Devils would benefit from signing Andre. When the ball is at his feet, he is stronger than Casemiro and McTominay combined. The Brazilian is also a hard worker who enjoys engaging in successful tackles and duels.
