Manchester United have reportedly hit a roadblock in securing the transfer of Austrian Midfielder, Marcel Sabitzer. The midfielder is currently on loan to the club from Bayern Munich.
However, The Sun reported that the 29-year-old could return back to the Bundesliga champions at the end of the season.
Recently, Bayern Munich changed managers. And Thomas Tuchel, who was recently hired, wants to evaluate the 29-year-old before making a decision about his destiny during the summer transfer window.
It will be intriguing to see if Sabitzer chooses to advocate for a transfer to the Premier League on a long-term basis. The player’s agent earlier disclosed that his client, enjoys playing in the Premier League. And is content to represent Manchester United.

In his midfield, Erik ten Hag wants more strength and depth. And if they can sign the 29-year-old for a fair fee, he might prove to be a solid permanent addition.
The 29-year-old found it difficult to get regular playing time while he was at Bayern Munich. And he hopes to permanently depart the club in the summer. Under Julian Nagelsmann, the Austrian international had slipped down the pecking order.
But things have altered at the Bavarian club. With Tuchel now in the helm. He may be willing to give him the chance he needs in the upcoming seasons. To see if Sabitzer chooses to return to the Bundesliga again in the summer will be interesting.
In recent months, Manchester United have been linked with a number of midfielders. And it’s still unclear if they will be able to recruit the required reinforcements.
