Despite allegedly finding an injury concern during Sofyan Amrabat’s medical, Man United approved a move for him.
On deadline day last week, the Red Devils revealed they had signed the 27-year-old on loan from Fiorentina after pursuing him all summer.
Although it has been reported that United ran into an issue while performing Amrabat’s medical, which was conducted in Italy.
The Athletic reports that United discovered a slight back injury that had plagued him for more than a year.
While representing Morocco at the World Cup, the former Feyenoord player struggled with the issue.
Despite being unable to move the day before the match, he took painkilling injections to play against Spain in the round of 16.

United ultimately decided that his injury wasn’t serious enough to scrap the deal to sign Amrabat.
Amrabat was one of four players signed by United on deadline day alongside goalkeeper Altay Bayindir, veteran centre-back Jonny Evans and left-back Sergio Reguilon on loan.
Erik ten Hag’s side forked out almost £7m for Amrabat’s loan fee, with the club having a £17m buy option plus £4.3m in add-ons.
He could now make his Man United debut against Brighton following the international break.
