Manchester United have reportedly entered the race to sign Bologna striker, Joshua Zirkzee in the summer transfer window.
The 23-year-old is one of several strikers on whom United are conducting due diligence prior to the transfer window opening on Friday. He has a £34 million release clause in his contract.
With two years remaining on his contract, Zirkzee is still a target for Arsenal and AC Milan.
Arsenal have moved their focus away from players like Brentford forward, Ivan Toney and Newcastle’s Alexander Isak in favor of bringing in a young striker they can develop.
According to Sky Sports, after traveling to London for negotiations, the 23-year-old still appears to be on the radar of Milan as they are pushing to sign him. They are still in contact with his representatives even though nothing has been agreed upon.
Juventus would have to sell a striker in order to acquire Zirkzee, as they are currently pursuing other targets.
After graduating from the Bayern Munich system, Zirkzee spent time with Parma and Anderlecht before making the move to Bologna in the summer of 2022.
In his first season in Serie A, the forward saw little playing time and finished with just two league goals in 808 minutes.
