Manchester United have reportedly been given a much needed boost in their hunt to sign Denzel Dumfries as Inter Milan are ready to swap him for Aaron Wan-Bissaka in the ongoing transfer market.
That’s in light of ongoing rumors about the two right-backs’ futures, according to the Sun as reported by Manchester Evening News.
Erik ten Hag is believed to admire the Netherlands international, who has been linked to United in the past. With just 18 months remaining on his deal with the Italian giants, the 27-year-old is in a similar situation to United with Wan-Bissaka. As of now, there is no indication of a breakthrough.
The report further claims that Inter would be willing to use Dumfries as a makeweight in any proposed deal in order to bring the former Crystal Palace player to the San Siro.
Dumfries is rumored to be demanding a large pay increase. But the Nerazzurri is supposedly unwilling to go above £35,000 per week.
It appears that the contract standoff has made a transfer possible. Since former Ajax manager Ten Hag was appointed last summer, United have been looking for a new right-back.
Diogo Dalot is currently United’s top choice in that position. But 26-year-old Wan-Bissaka is a viable alternative.

In other news, The Evening Standard claims that United have plans to profit from Jadon Sancho and Antony.
The Red Devils are open to offers for the two players from Saudi Arabia. 23-year-old Sancho is anticipated to depart the club permanently in the summer after returning to Borussia Dortmund on loan during the January transfer window.
