Rio Ferdinand recalled the moment his former Manchester United teammate Nani broke down on the field.
It seemed Ferdinand wasn’t the only person who thought it was funny after a photo of the incident was posted on their private United WhatsApp chat.
Many found the situation humorous. On the most recent episode of Rio’s podcast, Nani joined Ferdinand and online celebrity Joel Beya to talk about the most recent news from the current season and to reminisce about the Premier League’s heyday.

Ferdinand once claimed to have had a little banter with the Portuguese winger before sending a message to the United group chat asking if anyone had any questions for him.
According to the Daily Star, the 46-year-old said: “I said in the group that Nani is coming on the podcast, if anyone has any questions for him.”
However, co-host Beya called him out for skipping an important detail, saying: “You didn’t say what you put in the group first.”
Ferdinand couldn’t contain his laughter as he added: “Nani, I put the picture in the group of you at Anfield, when he was crying. Youngy just text back, ‘Why did Nani cry?'”
The image in question, which puzzled Ashley Young, the current Everton star, shows Nani crying on the Anfield turf following a forceful tackle by Liverpool icon, Jamie Carragher.
Carragher crashed into Nani with a late challenge that left the winger with a terrible gash on his leg during a shocking loss for United in March 2011, when they were defeated 3-1 by Liverpool thanks to a hat-trick from Dirk Kuyt.
