Benjamin Pavard has reportedly been the subject of “exploratory talks” with Manchester United, Laurie Whitwell and David Ornstein reported.
According to the report, if the Red Devils manage to sign a new striker and midfielder in the mold of a No. 8 this summer. Their focus will shift to finding a new right-back to take the position of the excellent Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The possibilities include Pavard, who Sport 1 in Germany claims could be signed for a “bargain” £26 million. And Denzel Dumfries, a compatriot of United manager Erik ten Hag.
He recently changed agents in preparation for a possible summer transfer. United’s right-back spot has been one of their biggest issues all season.
Although, Aaron Wan-Bissaka has recently been the Red Devils’ best player at the position. One could say that his game doesn’t mesh well with Ten Hag’s.

The alternative is Diogo Dalot, but considering how he has played since the World Cup break. And how inferior his defensive game is to Wan-Bissaka’s, many supporters are unsure if he should start for a team of United’s caliber.
Due to the fact that Pavard’s present contract with Bayern Munich expires in 2024. He will be offered at a reduced price in the summer.
There might not be much money in the bank to bring in a new right-back because United wants to prioritize a starting striker and No. 8. So this deal could be the ideal answer for all parties.
Executives at Old Trafford are also thinking about Denzel Dumfries. Ten Hag is well known for admiring his fellow Dutchman. And his recent change of agent suggests that a summer move may be in the works.
