According to Ruben Amorim, Man United will prioritize acquiring a new striker in the summer in order to relieve Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee of their workload.

Before his Lille contract expires in July, Jonathan David is rumored to be on Amorim’s shortlist, with United among other bidders.
The offensive alternatives available on the market will be reduced, though, as the 25-year-old, who has scored 20 goals this season, is apparently ready to depart the shop window.
Also, David is in advanced negotiations to sign a free move to Barcelona this summer, months after he told Lille he was leaving.
According to Express, the Canada international received pre-contract proposals from a number of teams, including many Premier League suitors.
However, the report also states that David is nearing a deal with Barcelona, with negotiations for a possible Bosman agreement already advanced.
Before joining Lille in 2020, David, who has been playing in Europe since he was 18, recorded 37 goals and 15 assists in 83 games for KAA Gent.
His consistent goalscoring exploits for the Ligue 1 club, netting 104 times in 217 appearances, have unsurprisingly harvested interest.
He has always been open about wanting to play for Barcelona.
Last year, he made it clear that he wanted to move to the Nou Camp.
