Manchester United have reportedly made contact with Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane about a potential summer move.
The Red Devils bolstered their forward line in the January transfer window with the loan acquisition of Wout Weghorst, but the Dutchman is only a short-term fix and is set to return to his parent club, Burnley, at the close of the season.
Man United will therefore enter the transfer market in the summer to sign a new center-forward.
The Red Devils have been connected with a number of players, including Tottenham’s top striker, who was set to leave the club two years ago.
Spurs rejected offers from Man United and Man City in 2021, securing Kane’s future with the North London club, where he has recently become their all-time leading scorer.
With his goal against Man City last month, Kane broke Jimmy Greaves’ record of 266 goals for Tottenham.
Kane’s future at the club appears to be in doubt as he enters the final 18 months of his contract.
Although talks regarding a new contract are said to be ongoing, Spurs will want to avoid having him leave on a free transfer in June 2024.
According to The Sun, Man United have made contact with Kane’s camp through a third party about a possible summer transfer.

According to the report, the Red Devils were encouraged by the response as they attempted to sign the striker for £100.m
However, there is speculation that Tottenham’s rating could be cut if they fail to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Tottenham are now fourth in the Premier League rankings, but they are only three points ahead of fifth-placed Liverpool, who have a game in hand.
