Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Bayern Munich midfielder, Ryan Gravenberch, which could hand Liverpool a major transfer blow.
According to rumours, Ryan Gravenberch may leave Bayern Munich this summer. And Manchester United are “aware” of this possibility.
Liverpool appears to be at the forefront in the competition to sign the Dutch international. But now that Erik ten Hag is having difficulty finalizing a deal for Mason Mount, they might hijack the move.
GiveMeSport claims that United are ‘informed’ that both Leon Goretzka and Gravenberch might depart Bayern Munich this summer.
And with regards to the former, Ten Hag’s affiliation with Ajax is mentioned as a reason for the Red Devils’ interest.
Given Jurgen Klopp’s desire to lead his team back into the Champions League next season, Liverpool appears to be in the lead for Gravenberch.
However, United may benefit from being able to give the 21-year-old the opportunity to compete in Europe’s elite club competition.
Ten Hag is aware that Goretzka might be moving on this summer.
The German international would much rather remain at Bayern and compete for a spot under Thomas Tuchel.

The Red Devils are considering Mason Mount’s alternatives. Despite Ten Hag’s desire to sign the midfielder, they appear to have no intention of accepting Chelsea’s enormous £65 million asking price.
Given that Mount only has a year left on his Stamford Bridge contract, United believes that the Blues are being overbearing. It may then be clear why they are currently considering alternatives.
