Manchester United are reportedly scouting Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper, Aynsley Pears.
This season, United have struggled at the back due to several high-profile mistakes made by first-choice goalie Andre Onana.
Questions have been raised concerning Ruben Amorim’s team’s potential appearance next season, as backup Altay Bayindir has been subjected to offers from clubs.
Ruben Amorim, the head coach, has so far been frugal with his spending. Although youngster Ayden Heaven completed a move from Arsenal and Patrick Dorgu joined from Lecce for well under £30 million, the manager will have to wait until the summer for the more extensive rebuild that is needed.

In order to give Onana competition, that rebuild may include a goalie, and Pears is reportedly a possibility.
Given that his father, Stephen, started his career with United before primarily playing for Middlesbrough, the 26-year-old player may become the second member of his family to play at Old Trafford.
According to The Sun as reported by The Mirror, Tony Coton, a United scout, has been watching Pears.
This season, the Blackburn goalie has kept 13 clean sheets in 35 Championship games, including a five-game winning streak in November and December as Rovers advanced into the play-off picture.
No team outside the top six have given up less goals this season than Blackburn, who have only let up 37. But over the weekend, former manager John Eustace returned to haunt them by leading Derby, his new team, to a 2-1 league victory.
