Man United, Liverpool Set To Go Head To Head For Major Transfer

Manchester United and Liverpool are reportedly set to go head-to-head for the loan signing of Bayern Munich midfielder, Ryan Gravenberch.

Cody Gakpo, a fellow Dutch star, was previously up for grabs, and Liverpool ultimately prevailed over their fierce rivals.

With only 11 days left before the summer transfer window closes, it appears as though another transfer tussle between United and Liverpool could soon take shape.

According to The Mirror as reported by the Daily Express, both teams have presented contract offers to Gravenberch’s agents and are eager to sign him.

Given that he only made three Bundesliga starts in the previous season, Gravenberch is apparently ready to have confrontational talks with Thomas Tuchel about his future at Bayern.

The Dutch midfielder is reportedly more likely to be shipped out on loan for the duration of the season than sold. As the Bundesliga giants are reluctant to allow him to depart on a long-term basis.

However, there is a chance that a deal might be made for the appropriate price. Giving United and Liverpool new hope of convincing Bayern to sell.

Gravenberch, who is reportedly valued at around £22 million, is seeking assurances over his playing time after being used just as a substitute in Bayern’s most recent two games.

Given that the Euros will be hosted in Germany in less than a year. He is rumored to be concerned about losing his spot in the Netherlands squad if he does not play frequently.

The midfielder joined Bayern in the summer of 2022 after being acquired from Ajax for £16 million. Since then, he has only made one appearance for his country.
