Manchester United have reportedly reduced their asking price for Alejandro Garnacho ahead of a new showdown with Chelsea and Napoli.
This month, clubs were made aware of Garnacho’s possible availability as United expressed worries about their capacity to adhere to Premier League financial rules. In an attempt to replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Napoli have made a bid for the Argentina international, however, Chelsea are contemplating of launching a countermove.
Garnacho was once valued at over £60 million, which has so far proven to be too much for Napoli. However, it is now alleged that United have decreased their demands.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio as reported by CaughtOffside, United are now seeking a package of €65 million (£54.9 million). However The Telegraph estimates that United’s new asking price is closer to £50 million.

United’s compromise has given Napoli hope that an agreement would be made somewhere in the middle of the two sides’ demands. Even if the Serie A side are hoping to complete a move for no more than €55 million (£46.4 million).
Concerns over Garnacho’s compatibility with Enzo Maresca’s team have prompted Chelsea to hold new negotiations over the winger. The Blues’ scouting reports on the player also include information on his mentality.
Fabrizio Romano adds Chelsea must now decide whether to join Napoli in making a formal proposal after reaching out to the representatives of both United and Garnacho, who attended the 3-1 victory over Wolves at Stamford Bridge.
