Manchester United have reportedly established contact with Nottingham Forest to inquire about the availability of Danilo.
United are still in the hunt to sign a defensive midfielder this summer, with Casemiro the only natural fit for the position under Erik ten Hag.
In addition, Toby Collyer, 20, participated in the FA Community Shield match against Manchester City, demonstrating how thin United’s midfield is right now despite the youngster’s promise.
According to TNT Sports as reported by TBR Football, Manchester United have contacted Nottingham Forest for more information about Danilo.
Since completing an £18 million transfer from Palmeiras in January 2023, the Brazilian has made an impression at the City Ground. In 42 Premier League games, he has scored five goals and provided four assists as Nottingham Forest have twice avoided relegation.
It follows the exclusive revelation by HITC that Arsenal are also thinking about making a summer transfer for Danilo.
The report also stated that AC Milan are attempting to sign the South American, and Forest are prepared to sell him for €40 million (£34 million).
While the Red Devils make contact with the Tricky Trees to discuss Danilo, Arsenal appear to be engaged in conversations elsewhere.

According to an El Diario Vasco story from Monday, the Gunners are holding off on signing Real Sociedad No. 8 Mikel Merino until he decides to join them, or if he wants to stay in the Basque Country like Martin Zubimendi did when he turned down a transfer to Liverpool.
Merino appears to be Arsenal’s top midfield target. Therefore Man United would be smart to try to sign Danilo as soon as possible.
