Manchester United have reportedly made an enquiry over the possibility of signing Sevilla defender, Juanlu Sanchez.
The 21-year-old had a successful summer following his Olympic gold medal with the Spanish national team. However, he is now on course for a major campaign at Nervion. The youngster will take up the role when veteran Sevilla icon Jesus Navas retires at the end of the year.
Juanlu made a great run to break into the team last winter, but he will have fierce competition for spots this season as Navas, Jose Angel Carmona, and Gonzalo Montiel all want to play there.
Soon after Juanlu made his debut in the team, Real Madrid sent scouts to watch him, a hint of his potential.
According to ABC as reported by Football Espana, just after the Olympics, Manchester United inquired about Juanlu’s services, demonstrating their interest in him this summer. It ended there, and he had no offers, but it is indicative of his growing notoriety.

During Spain’s Olympic campaign, Juanlu showed his ability, but Marc Pubill garnered most of the attention after he was linked to Barcelona and almost got transferred to Atalanta.
Juanlu, who participated in all but one of the games, also scored the game-winning goal against Morocco in the semifinal after making a brilliant run.
