After a few significant transactions in recent years, Manchester United and Atalanta have very open channels of contact.
Erik ten Hag’s first team included two former Atalanta players, Amad Diallo and Rasmus Hojlund.
Another Atalanta player might be on his way to Old Trafford, if not this summer but maybe a few months later.
According to SportItalia as reported by Sport Witness, United are interested in La Dea midfielder, Ederson.
The Manchester club’s bosses were visiting the Atalanta headquarters in Zingonia recently to resolve certain formalities around Rasmus Hojlund’s summer transfer.
Taking advantage of that, they made a “cordial” inquiry for information about Ederson.
It’s possible that in the next months, the move will be considered and Ederson’s relationships will be maintained. The Brazilian has shown great promise for La Dea since joining from Salernitana.
The report further characterizes the relationship between the two clubs as “excellent.”

Ederson was excellent for Atalanta last season as they went on to the UEFA Europa League defeating the unbeatable Bayer Leverkusen in the process.
The 25-year-old made 53 appearances last season. He scored 7 goals and provided an assist as Atalanta finished in the Italian Serie A top four.
