Ajax winger Antony has hinted that he wants to leave the club amid Manchester United’s prolong interest in him.
United have been watching Antony since June, and the Dutch champions have previously rejected two bids for the Brazilian international.
The winger has said he wants to quit the team.
As he continues to restructure the team at Old Trafford, United manager Erik ten Hag, who coached Antony while at Ajax, is keen for a reunion.
What Did He Say?
In an interview with De Telegraaf, Antony said he won’t make a decision about his future until he has spoken with his loved ones and the club.
“What I can say is that I want to come to the right decision with my family, business partners and Ajax, which is good for everyone. In the end, God determines my future.”
When asked if he plans to commit to Ajax, he replied, “No, to be perfectly honest, I can’t.
“Now I am focusing on playing football and have put all other matters in the hands of my agents and my brother.
“They will advise me on what is best.”
Are United Still In The Race To Sign Antony?
Even though United’s most recent offer for Antony was reportedly in the range of £68m ($80m), that sum was still far less than Ajax’s valuation of the player.

Ajax are considering Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech as a potential replacement and will accept a bid of only up to £76m ($90m) for Antony.
According to reports on Friday, Antony is currently training on his own as he seeks a transfer away from the club. It is doubtful if he will play against Sparta Rotterdam on Sunday.
