Man United Plan To Sign Spanish Goal Keeper

Man United have indicated their desire to sign Martínez following their admiration for his performances the previous season.

According to Football Talk, Genoa is prepared to make a profit on its top player for about £17 million, which might help the Red Devils sign him this summer.

AFC Bournemouth and Inter Milan are reportedly interested in signing him as well, although Genoa wants to trade its top player to the Premier League.

Martinez has already reached a personal agreement with Inter, but Man Utd may be able to complete this deal by taking advantage of the fact that Rudy Galetti claimed on X that Martinez is having trouble reaching a transfer fee agreement with Genoa.

It’s unclear if the Red Devils would choose to entice the Genoa star to Old Trafford during this transfer window, as the journalist also asserts that they have begun considering a move for him this summer.

Man United will need to buy a new goalkeeper this summer if Bayindir ultimately departs the team, but it might not be a good idea to pay the rumored £17 million for a backup goalie.

Ten Hag’s team would thus be better suited looking into other possibilities to bolster their roster.
