Man United Planning Shock Move For Son Heung-min

Man United is always in the news and on Sunday, it was reported that sports director Dan Ashworth had split from the 13-time Premier League winners.

The decision ends Ashworth’s five-month stay at Old Trafford. The Red Devils had been after the former FA player for a long time before they were able to lure him away from Premier League rival Newcastle United.

You would think Ashworth’s exit would be the most surprising news to come out of Manchester this weekend but there are claims from Spain that could well lay claim to such a tag.

The Red Devils are reportedly considering a move for Spurs player Son Heung-min in the new year, according to Spanish news site Fichajes.

The South Korean international is nearing the end of his current contract with the north London club.

Notably, the article also states that Son has “expressed interest in exploring a new challenge.”

Spurs will, however, exercise a one-year option in his contract in order to stop United’s attempt to sign him.

The 3AM verdict states Son is more likely to stay in north London than make an unexpected transfer to the North West, and the fact that his contract has a one-year option makes this deal appear less and less realistic.
