Manchester United are reportedly having big regrets in their decision to sign Sofyan Amrabat in the last summer transfer window.
The Red Devils signed Amrabat on loan with an option to buy from Fiorentina in the 2023/24 summer transfer deadline day.
At the end of this season, the Serie A team want to know if the Red Devils will extend his stay.
Calciomercato reports that United’s purchase option is valued at €25 million plus an additional €5 million in bonuses.
Since the Red Devils’ goalless draw with Liverpool in December, the Morocco international has not made a starting appearance in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old has only played for less than 100 minutes since returning from the AFCON. Though he did play for 90 minutes on Wednesday in the FA Cup victory over Nottingham Forest.
Amrabat has made 20 appearances so far this season. But he hasn’t impressed at United.
According to Calciomercato as reported by Sport Witness, Erik ten Hag’s side will decide “finally” “in a month” regarding the future of the Fiorentina-owned player.

The publication claimed, there are currently ‘big regrets on both sides’ as Amrabat and United will most likely part ways in the summer.
Fiorentina will not be happy about this as they will lose out on €25 million as a result of this. And they will also need to find the Moroccan a new club in the summer.
