Manchester United have reportedly joined the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain attacking midfielder, Xavi Simons with RB Leipzig, Bayern Munich and Barcelona also in the running for his signature.
The 21-year-old has signed with PSG twice, but after spending the last campaign on loan at Leipzig, he is ready to leave the team.
According to German News outlet Bild as reported by The Metro, Man United are very interested in the Netherlands international and are prepared to make a substantial offer of €100 million (£84.1m).
Bayern are reportedly prepared to make a similarly hefty bid for the forward, with L’Equipe stating that they will go as high as €90 million (£75.7 million).
Fabrizio Romano claims that PSG are only ready to loan Simons out rather than sell him. And Leipzig seem optimistic that they can bring the 21-year-old back to the team on a temporary deal.

Even though Simons may not have a long-term future at PSG, the French outfit are unwilling to let him go until January 1, 2025, as stated by Bild. Since PSV, his previous team, would receive 20% of the sale price if a trade was completed before then.
This summer, a loan agreement with a buyout option might be arranged, with the permanent transfer taking place the following year.
