Antony has reportedly revealed that he feels more secured and safer following his loan move away from Manchester United to Real Betis.
After spending £85 million to join from Ajax in 2022, Antony made 14 appearances this season, playing 407 minutes across all competitions, three of which were in the starting lineup.
After Amorim took over as manager, his tenure with the squad somewhat improved, although the new Manchester United head coach did not prevent him from leaving Old Trafford.
In January, Antony finally secured a loan deal from United, enabling the Red Devils to allow him to finalize a short-term transfer to Real Betis.

In the 2-2 draw with Athletic Bilbao on his debut for Betis, the Brazilian was named MVP. Shortly after, he was again named the team’s best player in the 3-2 loss to Celta Vigo.
Since joining Real Betis, Antony has provided two goals and two assists in four La Liga games. The Manchester United loanee maintains that he feels “more secure” and “safer” now than he did at Old Trafford.
Antony told Kooora as echoed by Football 365: “The most important thing to regain my confidence was to reconnect with myself. I found myself here and that’s why I’m very happy at Betis. Every day I feel more secure.
“Pellegrini is very important to me. Before signing with Betis, I spoke to him, and he gave me a lot of confidence. His experience and history give me energy every day to do well.”
