Man United Suffer Injury Blow In Match Against Real Betis

In their preseason friendly encounter against Real Betis on Wednesday, Man United suffered another double blow to their injury line as Marcus Rashford and Antony hobbled off.

Leny Yoro, a summer acquisition for the Red Devils, was seen on crutches with his left foot in a protective boot following an injury over the weekend.

Yoro was dubbed “one of the most exciting young defenders in world football” by Man Utd sports director Dan Ashworth. Fans saw him play in friendlies against Rangers and Arsenal.

Rasmus Hojlund will be out for six weeks while the center-back, who was substituted in the first half of Saturday’s 2-1 loss to Arsenal, may now miss up to three months due to injury.

Sergio Altimira of Real Betis trod on Rashford’s foot, seeming to injure his ankle.

As a result, Man United will now have to endure another anxious wait, reports Football 365

Rashford was given medical attention prior to being substituted, and Antony, who was brought in as a second-half substitute, was forced off the field after just 23 minutes due to injury.

Although United’s only first-team additions this summer have been Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee, the squad is still actively pursuing transfers and building up their youth system.
