Man United Target Rejects Contract Renewal In Favour Of Transfer Out Of Club

Stuttgart forward, Serhou Guirassy has reportedly rejected a contract renewal at the club in favour of a January transfer move to a top club.

The 27-year-old forward, who has bagged 17 goals so far this season is a subject to transfer interest from numerous clubs as a result of his incredible exploits in the Bundesliga this season. Among clubs interested in a move is Manchester United who are allegedly preparing to activate his release clause set at €17.5 million and will expire in the summer of 2026.

This is the major reason Stuttgart have tabled a new offer for the Guinea international in order to push up his release clause higher than what the clause in his current contract.

According to Caught Offside, the talisman has rejected an improved terms at the club, and is seeking to move abroad to showcase his goal-scoring abilities on the pitch of play.

United are not the only club interested in the goal-poacher, Newcastle United and Borussia Dortmund have been touted for move in recent weeks.

In order to relieve some of Rasmus Hojlund’s workload, Erik ten Hag has been looking for a striker, and this would be an easy agreement to close.

It’s unclear if Guirassy will depart in January because the Dutch coach needs all the support he can get. However, the Manchester club need to act quickly because the other two teams might jump to the front of the line.

In their quest to qualify for a European competition, Stuttgart will be reluctant to sanction a deal for their highest goalscorer as they are currently 3rd in the Bundesliga table standings.
